GreyFuss and anyone else who has played Quern. I would love to play Quern and I am trying to play Quern using WASD and a mouse. It's not going well. The cursor is floating like leaf bobbing gently down a creek. I've adjusted every setting I think of within the game. I've monkeyed with the mouse settings on my 3 year old laptop. I have the maximum amount of RAM. Any suggestions? Yes, it's Christmas morning, and I was hoping to play for an hour before guests arrive. I should finish tidying the kitchen instead of futzing around with Quern. Obduction, which I thought a bit of a bore, ran fine. Quern, which I am enjoying, is darn near impossible. The difficult cursor is making moving bricks around really hard. I understand that Quern's puzzles get harder so solving this issue before the puzzles become more complex and opaque would be grand.

I've disliked this particular laptop ever since I got it; maybe a new one is necessary. A new one means Windows 10. Decisions. Decisions.

Although you could play Obduction which had high system requirements, I'm wondering what your video card is. A video card that doesn't meet system requirement could be causing your floating cursor.

Once again, weeds are my life!

What kind of laptop is it?
What video card is does it have?
How does it compare with the ***requirements for Quern***?
Compared to the ***system requirements for Obduction***

If your laptop meets the requirements, you may be able to get it working better.
Have you checked for different video drivers?
Is your antivirus running while the game is playing?
If the antivirus is scanning everything the game is doing, it could slow the game down.

Almost everything is wrong to wrongish except RAM, so I'm going to get a new laptop for gaming. I will post separately on the question.
