I'm stuck on the flower puzzle in the Paris: 1313 game. I clean the flower, stem, and the leaf, but when I get the knife I can mark the "X" on the middle of the flower, but whenever I try and mark the end of the leaf I get the red "X" mark and have to start over. I've looked at the walkthrough by here on Gameboomers, another online walkthrough by Macroids, and video walkthroughs on You Tube, but I just can't get the right sequence in order to get the lever to open. Am I supposed to put the "X" on the leaf first? If so, I can't seem to find the exact end of the leaf in order to do so.

Any help would be appreciated.

The tip of the leaf has to be even with center of the flower. The knife should be clicked on tip of the leaf.
I can't remember the sequence but the wt states - center of flower first and then leaf.
