New Word Definitions

The local newspaper recently asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are this year's winners:

1. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding a stupid person that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

2. Foreploy (v): Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of getting laid.

3. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the subject financially impotent for an indefinite period.

4. Giraffiti (n): Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.

5. Sarchasm (n): The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.

6. Inoculatte (v): To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.

7. Hipatitis (n): Terminal coolness.

8. Osteopornosis (n): A degenerate disease. (This one got extra credit.)

9. Karmageddon (n): its like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's like, a serious bummer.

10 Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you.

11. Glibido (v): All talk and no action.

12. Dopeler effect (n): The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

13. Arachnoleptic fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after you've accidentally walked through a spider web.

14. Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

15. Caterpallor (n.): The color you turn after finding half a grub in the fruit you're eating.

Good morning everyboomie. welcome

It's been cold, cloudy, rainy here all day. Mostly just cold and cloudy. razz

I did some exercising, and some laundry, but mostly I was just lazy and shiftless. wink

Most of the day I've been waiting for the two football games to start.

One football game started at 3:30, and the other one is starting right now. The first one was a sling fest, with Atlanta out-slinging Seattle. yes

Now it's the Patriots and Texans. I would love to see Texans come away with a win, but I don't see it happening. rolleyes

Tomorrow the COWBOYS play Greenbay. woot

I've had my shower, and now I have to get something for supper cooking. I'm starving.......again. shocked

Have a happy day everyone. thumbsup

Haha, Lab Coat Retriever lol

Morning all, or rather good night.
When I wake up, I have a kitchen full of food. I was removing everything from the shelves so I could clean up and put it back a little more stylish.
That was the plan anyway. whistle

SpaceQ, we had ice the afternoon and night before the big storm rolled through. It caused a bit of a traffic nightmare but thankfully, the worst that hit Missouri missed us. Did you get it?

Super Sunday ya'll puppy

Son and boys are playing Zombie Dice...so I'm sipping and surfing to the clatter of bones. Too funny listening to them.

Not sure what the day will be yet, but I'll know by the time I go to bed wink wave

Football is on my no-no list. Since our Chargers decided to move to Los Angeles, we are all in mourning. I can't believe 56 years and they just pack up and go. I'll never understand that one.

Anyone have a good team that wants to move to sunny San Diego? We will probably be looking for one sometime after the shock wears off.

Alas Sorta...welcome to the reality of "sports business" today. I heard this the other day and was shocked too! I know my brother is too as he's been a charger fan for decades. Team moves have been a reality of sports...except high school and college wink

I'm glad it missed ya SQF

Glad you didn't get really bad weather Ana

Rain is good NiteOwl ... just not too much

Wishing you a Super Duper Sunday Too Gail

Drine safe Connie ... thanks for the great spread laugh

Happy Sunday Gerry and Haroula

Sounds like a cool plan to me RebKean ... good luck

Joe Go Dallas Ana Go Greenbay ... I am thinking the Cowboys are going to win...lots of injuries with the Packers. We are happy the Flacons have gotten this far!

Quiet day here in LA ... why with my whale music and gardening it just doesn't get much better than this!

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I need some Whale Music! I've been out in the yard AGAIN, pulling stinging nettle plants which sprouted up with our uncustomary rainy season. I've contained the back yard growth (wasn't too bad) but the front yard, which I thought only needed one more little spot of pulling seems to have attacked. Whole areas of tiny nettles coming up. Bigger ones are easy, but they too, are prolific now. I've filled 3 bags (grocery size plastic) today. I 'package' them since they are already blooming and have seeds. Just one little seed is way too much for me.

I'm going to do some research on these horrible, painful weeds to see how to kill them without using sprays. I don't want to harm any wildlife, especially the kittens who are now chewing on grass all over the place. I'm stumped. Anyone got a big Flame Thrower I can borrow? rotfl

Well...the kitchen looks the same as last night. No surprise there. Worked on the game for most of the day, which is good. But tomorrow! THEN I'll fix the kitchen. Maybe. whistle
