My husband died over Christmas. Due to cancer.
He had a chrome notebook. Which I never touched or used. However he loved it. paying bills, facebook and keeping up with friends.
My problem is some of his sites he enjoyed would really hurt his children. They have wonderful thoughts of him. VERY IMPORTANT non of the sites were illigal or involed childrend.
But would show he kind of lived a double life. A life besides ours.
Any ideals where I could take it to get the needed info off it.
This just breaking my heart I know, I know They're all adults now. But he's dead and can't answer for himself. I would spare them and myself alot of pain.
Any ideals Thank You maryjo

I googled "delete from Chrome notebook" and found helpful info.

If you have the recovery media, you can use the procedure here to restore it to factory defaults.
https://www.reddit.com/r/chromeos/comments/2h3inh/wiping_hard_drive_on_a_chromebook/

Powerwash is also described here
http://www.howtogeek.com/213295/how-to-w...r-selling-them/

If you don't have the recovery media, and it has a password on it, maybe one of the other free utilities described at How-to Geek here would erase it

Thank You for answering me. Think I managed to get rid of the site.
At least I can't find it listed anymore.
Feel alot better now giving the note book his children.
Thank You again maryjo

Happy to see that the problem is solved, and sorry for your loss, especially at Christmas time, not a good souvenir of the Holidays, I hope you and your children all the best in the New Year.
