Question about Big Fish Games #1097369

As a past winner of the Big Fish Game Giveaway, I joined and chose a game.
I have not decided if I will remain a member yet, but I have some questions and concerns that I hope other BF members here can help me with.

There was a problem in my building the other day and we had no Wifi access.
I played my BF game without any problems several times.

Now that Wifi is back, when I start my game, instead of the game starting the BF app screen appears.
It looks as if my game was reset to the trial version, stating that I have 60 minutes left to play.
There is a reactivate button, which gives me an error screen.
I'll deal with that problem later and not here.

So, my questions are:
1. Do you need Wifi access to continue playing the game? Wondering if this reset will happen again.
2. If I don't remain a member, will the game continue to play? Not sure if I will stay active.

Thanks for any responses.

Hi LadyLinda, I am not familiar with mobile games and Big Fish in terms of the way they work, so I cannot provide concrete answers to your questions. Someone else here might be able to help.

There are question and answer pages like this one on Big Fish that have some answers on technical questions. I don't know which mobile device you are using, though. wave

I guess I was not "clear" when I stated the Big Fish app screen appears, though it says exactly that.

This is not a mobile game, this is a game running on my Win10 PC.

I guess I meant to say the Big Fish Splash Screen, the one that starts when you end a game.

Sorry, LadyLinda - my misunderstanding. Once you purchase games from Big Fish, they are yours forever and remain in your Purchase History, regardless of whether or not you are a Game Club member. Once the game has been downloaded and activated, you don't need the internet in order to play games. You could try uninstalling the game and redownloading the game from your Purchase History - in general, you will not lose your saved game doing this.

So, you don't think it had anything to do with the lack of Wifi access that knocked it out?

I was going to follow up with Big Fish on the error code I received when I clicked the reactivate button.
This entailed d/ling the diagnostic tool that they provide and then sending them the results.

I don't know for sure. I am also not familiar with Windows 10.

I would follow up with Big Fish on the error code that you received - they know a lot more than I do. And they will probably give you a free game code for your trouble. smile

Also, have you tried going to where the game is stored..program files or in my case C:Games find the game click to get inside and find the .exe file and start the game from there?

Sorry, I could not get back to this yesterday.
Thanks for the responses.

The error I am getting is 806400.
According to the Big Fish help center, there are many causes to this error.
I have to d/l the Dr. Felix Diagnostic tool and send them the results of it.

I did look at the game contents folder but did not find a program that I recognize as the game executable.
There is a launcher file but it just loads the BF screen which is the same as if I used the desktop game icon.

Just to be clear, the game is playable but now it is limited to a 60 minute interval.
I've been playing this game since 12/27/2016.
The lack of Wifi is the only explanation that could have caused this status reset.

You need to enable viewing of hidden files to see the game executable. For some reason, Big Fish makes their game exe's "hidden."

Check How-To Geek's instructions

Thanks Jenny100, I didn't think of that and found it.
It does load the game and it bypasses the BF screen at exit too.
