How do you get a sweet little 80-year-old lady to say the F word? Get another sweet little 80-year-old lady to yell “BINGO!”

Old Age Benefits

Yes, being over 50 does have its advantages...

1. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.

2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.

3. No one expects you to run into a burning building.

4. People call at 9 p.m. and ask, "Did I wake you?"

5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.

6. There's nothing left to learn the hard way.

7. Things you buy now won't wear out.

8. You can eat dinner at 4 p.m.

9. You can live without sex (but not without glasses).

10. You enjoy hearing about other people's operations.

11. You get into a heated argument about pension plans.

12. You have a party and the neighbours don't even realize it.

13. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.

14. You quit trying to hold your stomach in, no matter who walks into the room.

15. You sing along with the elevator music.

16. Your eyes won't get much worse.

17. Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.

18. Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the National Weather Service.

19. Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.

20. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to a manageable size.

21. You can't remember who sent you this.

Today was simply Spring here, and I mean low 70s. How's that sound for January 20th? woot

It could not have been a better day for creek hunting..........weather-wise anyway. cool

I walked at least a mile of creek. I slid down embankments. I stumbled through thick thorny vines and brush. I had to take my boots off three times to get the stickers out of them. I wore my back out. taz

I didn't find a thing. slapforehead

The creek did have a mini flash flood, it just wasn't enough. Maybe we'll have a big rain soon. yes

Have a happy day everyone.

Good morning Joe, Ana, Space, Karen, Haroula and all who stop by later. Hope you are all feeling well!

It's cold, sunny and frosty here this morning. There's some housework on the agenda today but not much else, maybe a little ironing.

Enjoy your Saturday guys!

Super Saturday ya'll puppy

I've been awake since 4 when storms rolled through and Lil Soot decided to provide a running commentary. I gave up and got up when the tornado siren went off. Decided I should be dressed if the worst happened.

So, happily, are safe spot is our den where we hang most of the time. Son had the kids up and out to b'ball games super early but they ended up cancelling them and sending everyone home because of the weather.

Joe, sorry your creek hunting was fruitless, but at least you got exercise. Did you take the 4 legged ones?

Ana, happy birthday to your sister. What kind of games?

Space wave

Doc, do the geese fly over often?

Haroula, how's life?

Mary, hope there is some fun in there too.

Gerry, hot chocolate sounds wonderful.

Connie, sounds like a fun day! Enjoy.

Whoa, Space, that is warm for you guys.
