I'm trying to install game cheats on Crysis, but when I try and edit the file, and save it with Wordpad or Notepad it won't let me save it. It says 'access denied'.

Does anyone here know a way around that? I know I have done it before on different computers.

Right-click the file, chooser Properties, make sure the Read-Only attribute is not checked.

Also make sure the file is not in use by another program (like the game) when editing.

Thanks Jenny! I did that and read only was not checked, but I edited all the permissions, and that worked.
