last time I updated CCleaner (at their prompt) it appears "active monitoring" was enabled.

I use the free version and didn't think this feature was included ??

Apparently I will now be informed when I need to use CCleaner

That's been there for quite some time... And yes, you can disable it.

Not really. It sounds like they changed the default configuration to include that feature since your previous version had it off.
