This is the cheapest semi-powerful computer I could find. You would have to ask Jenny100 how Win-10 and the video card with this computer would work with Syberia-3. ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc...p?skuId=4300916 ) This just happens to be a Cyberpower because that's what came up when I selected the low-to-high option, but this is probably where the price would be.

Going by the system requirements listed for Syberia 3 at Steam, the Radeon R5 230 in the Best Buy computer will not meet the requirements. http://store.steampowered.com/app/464340/ Minimum:
OS: Windows 7, 8, 10 Processor: Pentium or AMD Athlon X4 - SSE2 instruction set support Memory: 6 GB RAM Graphics: AMD R7 260X - Nvidia GTX 550 Ti 2go DirectX: Version 9.0 Storage: 40 GB available space Sound Card: Any
If you read reviews at Best Buy, the user reviews say the R5 230 is good for "entry-level" gaming but you may want to add a different video card. I don't see what power supply it has.

I know it was just an example of where to start from, but I wasn't sure niteowl07 realized that. It will definitely cost more than $500 for a computer that will play all (or even most) current and upcoming adventure games. A lot depends on the video card, and as you said, a jump in price between a computer that supports a "gaming" video card and one that can only play games with low requirements. Draclvr put together some suggestions back in January http://www.gameboomers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1093262/2

and i do appreciate where you're coming from. i'm probably more interested in replaying some of the older games than trying too keep up with the upcoming stuff. partly eyesight and arthritis, and mostly cost. like i said , this is going to be tricky ,but at least a ballpark of 500$ is not so far off from my original amount. i will keep the video card info in mind. thanks for now - off to newegg to see what's available there.

I've been out of town for a week again, so just saw this. As Geo said, the brand is not the thing to look at. For those of us who like our games, it's all about the video card and the rest of the hardware to go with it.
If you can start "stuffing a sock" as my grandma used to say, I don't see you getting something that will play games like Syberia 3 for less that about $650 - $700.
