Let's make sure folks understand that the crytocurrency being referred to here is the Bitcoin.

Personally, I'm a big fan of technology, but not a fan of a form of currency that could potentially be controlled and manipulated by the largest group of miners performing the largest number of transaction confirmations. While our current monetary systems are also controlled by a limited number of individuals, those individuals understand that the collapse of the system would mean the collapse of their well being. Bitcoin miners, not so much. The virtual aspect makes the "real" impact part of the equation difficult to fathom, if they even care about it in the first place.

*steps down off soap box* grin
