My suggestion would be to reload a game prior to doing the alcove section and follow along with the walkthrough to see what you might have missed. Otherwise, it's difficult for me to say what you might have missed. luck

Do you have the 3 books found at the alcoves in your documents?
If not you have not finished checking the books Irina wanted you to read.

Try looking at MaG's walkthrough and see if that helps...

Do you have the 3 books in your documents inventory? If you do not, then you have missed something.

The books are not in inventory but are in the documents. See if there are book titles there.

If you don't have them; replay from before you went to the alcove. Then follow the walkthrough.
Check the chart in the walkthrough.

Have you checked your documents inventory? Oops! I see MaG already mentioned that.

It is explained in the walkthrough.

Irina wants you to read specific books.

- The clue on how to find the books are shown on the tab in the books already out on the table.
- The 4 clues Irina left are the 4 Latin words written using her blood - ARMA, SUNT, INDE, MALA.
- There are 5/five alcoves in the library. You have to search all 5 for the books.
- Using one of the clues; (based on the tab on the books on the table) - select the first letter of the clue and then look for the alcove which has the same letter at the end of the Latin phrase of that alcove.
- Then using the next letter on the clue, find the book case in that alcove that has the second letter at the end of the Latin phrase of that book case.
- Then using the third letter on that clue, find the book shelf in that book case that has the third letter at the end of the Latin phrase of that shelf.
- The fourth letter will then be the book you want since each book has a letter.

If you want the answer without deducing all of these; go to the chart in the walkthrough.
- Go to the alcove with the Latin phrase on first row.
- Then go through the column and find the book case, book shelf and then the name of the book. CLICK on the book or empty space. luck

No. You have to go to the 4 alcoves out of 5 to get the 3 books. The one in Astra is not there but you have to go through the motions to find out.

After Astra, do Felix, Nil admirari and Nil Nimium.

If you are in the correct alcove - then click on the book on the correct book case.
The letters A, T, E and A are the books to be clicked on the correct book case (in the correct alcove).

As mentioned - the books are in documents (not inventory). Did you check there and look for the titles?

There's saved games here.

I should have asked this question before, but what operating system are you running the game on? Is it Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10?

And did you try looking for a folder called Kheops? You might need to look for that rather than the name of the game.

Did you get it from the site posted?

If so - check if it is compressed. If so - unzip it.
Then look for the saved game folder.
Try looking also at My Documents or C - Program Files (86.
Then look as Marian mentioned - Kheops or Adventure Company - Dracula 3\Users\Profile1\

Is this where you are?

According to the walkthrough:

Click to reveal..
Do Kruger's research:

Sterilize the medical equipment: Do the same procedure as before.

Find and take a hammer and stake behind the firewood bin.

Draw fresh blood: Kruger wants a fresh sample to test. Draw blood as before. Bottle 815 is obtained.

Place the blood in the refrigerated cabinet:

Go to the lab through the door at right.

Is this where you are? Here is what the walkthrough says:

Quote:
Test the blood: Read the Instructions on the table sent by Kruger to Maria explaining how to do the test. Be sure to read the last page.

Procedure for first parameter:

Take a sample from the refrigerated cabinet by clicking an empty tube on the bottle. Close the refrigerated cabinet.

Place the tube on the front part of the sampler.

Lower the filament into the blood in the test tube by lowering the lever left of the sampler.

Press the + button to bring the sample into the filament.

Take the filament with the sample and place it on the microscope plate at right.

Look through the eyepiece.

Did you do the second parameter on that sample?
You have to do 2 parameters per sample.
Then you can do the next sample.

It's in the walkthrough. It's below the first parameter section and the pictures.

I think I spend at least a couple of days in this part... carefully and step by step would be my advice!

It probably needs to be fairly close. You could use a stopwatch, but counting aloud should work too.

How are you doing with the game? It appears that a lot of people had trouble with this part.

There is a video walkthrough here.

And if you need a saved game, you can find some here.

This is the part where I spent about 2 days in the game trying to get this right! So you are not alone here.

Well, whatever works for you, right? The guy who did this video said he thought this part of the game could be a little buggy. I guess you will have to experiment. smile

Instructions for downloading the saved game can be found earlier in this thread - check it out. wave

BTW I dug deeper into this part and found out that up don't need to count when you put the paper into the bath !! as soon as you put the paper in a few sec's it changes color pick it up and hold it in the air for 2-3 sec's then go on to the next bath and repeat..what do U think of that... dance

Did you do all of this?

Quote:
Study the dried picture and see that it is part of the 7 peaks where Vlad was imprisoned in Turkey. Use the enlarger and see 3 symbols on the peaks: trident, pi and ladder.

Shed: Go back and place the copper wire back to the 2 left slots of the middle row. This brings power back to the lab and the blood will not spoil.

Exit the dispensary.

So it is Kruger and his agent Hans aka Janos that killed Irina and Stephan. They are members of the Thule Society.

With the help of the Iron guards they ransacked and burned the village. They also destroyed Martha's tomb. They are following the Path of the Dragon.

Maybe this video will help you out. You are in the dispensary when it starts but it also includes talking to Luana.

I looked around and found this thread from Big Fish. There are several suggestions in this thread for those who talk to Luana and she replies saying that you need to know who the enemies are. Try looking over the suggestions and see if there is something there that you might have missed that you can do. luck

Yes, this seems to be a difficult point in the game (although very little of it looks easy to me). And apparently the game is nonlinear in that the walkthrough shows just one way of getting through the game and you can do things in a different order. That makes it very hard for me to determine what you might have missed.

It's a pain, but I would suggest reading over the WT step by step to see what you have not done. And make sure that you have done everything that is mentioned in that Big Fish thread.

I agree with what Marian said. I actually have a game of this one on my computer which I can't finish because I missed one little thing and now I am unable to go back and complete the task. I finally had to give up. But trying one more time with a step-by-step approach might unearth some tiny little thing you missed.

Same here, deleterman. First time when it was first released, I didn't run into any problems at all. But the replay I tried to do last year was awful!
