I am at the point where I have the guards equipment on and am walking toward the gate but I cannot talk with the guard there.

Any chance you can be more specific of where you are in the game? I just checked the WT here and it seems there is more than one place where there are guards hanging about. Would like to help you out. But, I can't unless you're more specific about the place where you're stuck!

I am at the beginning of the game in the Ruins of Troy. The guard is at the gate I visited The night before and he asked about the pass.

hi,kauaids. i had the same problem.i could not get pass the guard. what i did was go back to he jail and when i walk back out thare was this guy walking right behind me, and where ever i walk, he was right behind. then i went back to the guard he let me pass saying i got a prisoner to take back. so try that. good luck.
