Another mixture of new/recycled disemvowellings… Remove one vowel from the first answer to give the second. Do not rearrange any of the remaining letters. If necessary, remove/add any hyphens or inverted commas as needed. Eg. Organ/male deer (heart/hart). -1. linger aimlessly / metric quantity -2. assistants / helps -3. weakness / storing of records etc -4. disease of the nervous system / task -5. greeting / part of house -6. title of respect / attendant -7. egg-shaped / poet -8. lace embroidery / ancient northern Britain inhabitant -9. airport, code ORD / run fast -10. powerful businessman / unit of nuclear cross section (10 to the minus 24 square cm)
To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self. I wonder what's on television...?

Nice one, niteowl, but not mine This is a term used to refer to a powerful mover/shaker in their field - for example, JR was an oil -------- (number of dashes doesn't mean anything.) Or if it were a cryptic, "nobleman is childless, we're told"
