OK this is my second time around on this game. Am in ch 5 on the hunt can't find the matches to light the fire or my lantern to go into the cave.Have gone over the mantle. Help

I almost went nuts trying to find those matches, too, Anne. Click on the fireplace and then you should be able to see them on the mantle.....

If they are truly not there then the fire won't be lit yet in the fireplace. This means you must accomplish other tasks first in Von Zell's and Klingman's rooms. These key the lighting of the firplace fire and puts the matches on the mantle.
