I tried part of the demo, only part, because if I like a game and will likely purchase it, I don't want to play too much of it. On BF, three top reviewers didn't recommend it. I totally disagree, based on what I played. I've learned not to buy or buy a game based only on people's reviews alone.

I recommend this game!

You are wise to try the game for yourself and not let a few reviewers decide for you. I'm glad you like the game! I hope you enjoy it. smile

Again, thanks, Marian! I have played five of the games in this series, and have watched them improve each time, from older ones that are totally forgettable or even too buggy to finish, to the recent good ones (Witch Queen and Dark Throne) that are on my Best of Casuals list and slated for Replay later. I'm not a big fan of the over-used haunting and witch themes, but my comment on Witch Queen is telling: Yeah, witches again. Still: Long play, good art, lots of scenes, puzzles; mini-games too easy, but game is better than previous. And my comment on Dark Throne: Excellent; best so far, but still too easy, long bonus game.

I will check out Night Collector. A series that I have seen gradually improving seems like a safe bet. And yes, I don't read the reviews posted on line, either. Too many on line reviews are suspect, whether they are about games, restaurants or travel venues. You need to know who is reviewing what, and what that person's personal preferences are, not to mention whether that reviewer is an actual user or is a shill for the presenter of the object being reviewed.

I couldn't find the release posting for this game. Hope it's okay to post a new topic.

I'm in the bonus chapter and stuck at the spider gate to the Queen's castle. SG says I should have a flute and a music sheet to open the gate. I have the music sheet, but can't find the flute. Any help would be appreciated.

ETA: Sorry. Found it. P.S. Great game. Nice long bonus chapter.

Turned out I did have the inventory item I needed to find the flute. Just wasn't obvious that that particular item could be used for the purpose. I should know by now to try everything in my inventory when I get stuck, even if something doesn't seem to make sense.

Yes, I've found myself stuck in many games before when I didn't keep that in mind.
