This is a slight improvement over the last one as thus far I have not encountered any glitches.
However, the graphics of characters are unpleasant, sort of a cross between those bug-eyed Keane paintings and dreary comic book art. The scenes/screens as well as the format of hopping back and forth in time limit exploration excessively even for a casual, and the setting itself lacks much intrinsic visual interest. I haven't seen a garage interior yet, so that's a good sign.
One entire set of collectibles looks like various medallions that might be used in any number of ho-hum garden variety Elephant caches so it is almost impossible to ignore these extras completely. (Imagine for a moment a super store like Home Depot that sells furniture, appliances, doors, windows, and mirrors like this with clunky looking ornamental medallions that open interior caches. Oh, dear, I just realized that I would probably choose to shop there.)
The banners can't be controlled and are impertinent. Unless you want the guide or are obsessed with collectibles, wait for the standard version. I wish I had.
On the bright side, three of the puzzles are entertaining. These are a slider, a star with buttons to place correctly that has a backward twist to the movement of items not clicked, and a connect the wires/pipes panel. I haven't finished that last one which is trickier than I expected; more likely I'm just slower witted than I expected.
The beastly ghost apparently stole Aunt Gray's car keys in order to further a tutorial.
White Lady isn't an awful game yet is nowhere near as good as The Legacy or The Vengeance or even The Bride.

Two puzzles so far have internal logic issues. The code to enter the numbers on a lock is faulty. That was okay because if you monkey around not following the directions on a sheet of paper exactly the numbers eventually appear where they should. Not serious.
The second one is on a connect the wires puzzle whose solution beggars logic.
If anyone has done this puzzle and thinks the solution makes sense, please, explain the logic to me. Elephant often has seriously good puzzles so I am willing to believe the answer from the strategy guide which works makes arcane sense on a level that is eluding me. The top left connection, numbered 6, has only one wire in the solution as does the first segment of the first connection, which should connect back to 6 but doesn't in the solution. That strikes me as flat wrong. If the intent was to blow the circuit (which did not happen BTW because the fuse was not blown), why couldn't I do it any way I wanted? What did I miss? And if blowing the circuit was the intent, I point out that there no circuit possible to blow in the first place because there were insufficient wire configurations available.

I just finished the demo. It's not bad (not really great though) 8dognight is right; the clue to open a lock is wrong. Somehow the beta testers missed it, or the developers did some editing at the last minute and got it wrong. I did not see the arcane wires puzzle he mentioned; it must be beyond the demo portion. What really blows my mind, though, is something nasty I have seen in other games: there is an active fire going on, and in order to put out the fire you need to find a key in order to access the fire extinguisher!! What kind of cruel logic is that??? That's as bad as putting a fancy lock on the first-aid kit when someone is bleeding out. Arrgh. And I agree with 8dog; that collection of emblems is silliness. At least for now. Maybe it will mean something after all is said and done. All-in-all it's an okay game. Good creepiness if you like that, and the ghost will jump out at you when you don't expect it. That's what they do, right? Enjoy!
