I always seem to have trouble getting started. I am at the log in the forest but can't find my way from there. From here I get stuck at the same place and even have trouble finding log again. Anybody have any suggestions?

Igos, someone else had trouble in that forest, and Norma gave these directions:

From the beginning of the forest the directions to the cemetery would be: L, R, R, L, L, R, R, L, R, L, L, R, L, L, R, R, L, R, R.

Have not got very far. I am trying to find Red to talk about sparkplug. If I go the dock it will not let me turn right What steps am I supposed to going up? If I turn right before I get to the dock I end up in forest. What tree and steps?

Hi, Igos,

If you're where I think you are, then turning right was correct! You just keep going forward until you're litterally up a tree! Make sure it's at night, though, that's the only time you can find him.

It may look like a forest to you, but you can only access Red's tree from there.

Good luck!

Yvonne

Thanks. Now I have a different problem. When I tried to take a picture of bird, it flew away. Nancy said I must have scared it away. Do you have to take the pictures of birds in a certain order? If so that is my problem. I came across a blue bird first and went too fast past it. The yellow bird is the one that flew away.

Hi igos,

From reading Norma's wt - you need not do it in order. Also this is from her wt - 'The Red bird and other two birds will elude you for now. You're too obvious and scare them off. What now? Return to the boat, click on the motor'.

Later in the game, you will talk to Red again and tell him about the bird problem and he will give some advise.

Igos,

Don't worry about getting all of the bird's pictures just yet. You're scaring them away because you don't 'blend in with the background'. You'll need to go to Em's again. Let me know if you need help getting the boat started.

This is so frustrating. I cannot get the lid closed on the motor. I think I have sparkplugs in right position. Why does the walkthrough show the inside of the lid? Am I supposed to be doing something with this? Also the sparkplug from the inventory that I was supposed to put into top slot. I used the hole above where the spark plugs are. Is that the wrong place?

Hi, Igos,

You have to use your screwdriver to adjust the 4 'screws'. Each screw has 3 positions. The schematic is on the inside of the lid as MaG told you. I had trouble orienting myself with the lid. Think of the readings as being on an 'x' 'y' graph. Then the plus and minus make sense. With the middle reading being '0' of course. Hope that helps.

When I go Jeff Akers I never get a chance to offer to help him do some things. I am wondering if there is something wrong with my disc because when I ask him about water the water bottle shows above but then game freezes I can't get above the speaking line. The only way I can get out is by thanking him for his help and then of course I miss all that about roman numerals.
Or do you think there is something I missed before going to Jeff and that is why I can't him to discuss helping. I guess what I neeed to know, is whether all of you asked about water test?

Hi Igos,

Check Nancy's PDA for some ideas on what she needs to do next and what she has already done. This game is not linear and you don't have to do things exactly as they are in the wt.
Akers didn't give me a chore of arranging the envelopes until later. I gave him the water sample and asked him about the framed photo that I picked up from the basement.
Have you taken pictures of 3 birds and talked with Red about why the others fly away? Did you see Em about getting camouflage gear? Do those first, then return to see Ranger Akers. When you see him he should also have some information about the woman in the photo.

ok Norma I have gone on to the things you suggest. Now I need to know how youknow when you have enough critters. I didn't notice any box coming automatically. I found a number of t hings under rocks etc.,they crawl away quickly.. Am I supposed to be doing something to collect them or does it happen automatically? What does this bait box look like?
While I was doing this it switched to night all by itself I didn't have to go back to house. Now I found found a glow worm but don't know how to get it. It just sits there

I think you may be ahead of your self a little here. You get the bait box from the lady at the store, she asks you to get bait for her. Then she will give something to you in exchange.
