I have the game in Dos Box, but get error Re-Install Win 32s. I am new to Dos Box and not sure if I try to find this online or what to do. Any advise will be appreciated.

If I recall correctly, Titanic is a Windows 3.1 and higher game, so you won't be able to run it in DOSBox. If you were to install Windows 3.1 inside of DOSBox, then you could get it to run. This is how I run another game by Cyberflix called Dust: A Tale of the Wired West, and also the original Shivers game by Sierra. There are directions online on how to do this, but you would need a copy of Windows 3.1 in order to do it.
So you will either need an older computer to run the game or you could also run the game in a virtual machine/emulator like Virtual PC or Virtual Box with Windows 95/98 installed in it.
There's a YouTube video with a guy running it on Windows 10, and he appears to be using DOSBox with Windows 3.1 installed inside of it.
Having said that, I have also seen some eBay listings where sellers claim to have tweaked the game so it will run on newer machines without the buyer needing to do anything other than install and play, so you could check that out too.

You can probably run Titanic in DOSBox, but first you have to install and configure Windows 3.1 or 3.11 inside DOSBox. VOGONS has instructions here https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=9405I haven't run Titanic in DOSBox. I've successfully run some other games with a Windows 3.1 installer (Shivers) in DOSBox, but wasn't able to run others (Connections) because of QuickTime not working properly. There may be a way around the QuickTime issue, but I don't know it. Win32s allows 16-bit Windows like Windows 3.1 to use 32-bit programs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Win32s

Marian and Jenny100, Think you for you time and help. Do you think installing VLC-224 Win 32 on this Windows 10 might might help? I have it installed along with Quicktime on my XP. Is there a chance it might play in comp. mode on the XP? If there is a chance it might play on the XP, I can unpack it and give it a try.

I think that the only actual way is to run the game in Windows 3.11@DOSBox. There is a package of it on our site: I think it would not be difficult to download it from here. You just have to make images of your disks like TITANIC1.iso and TITANIC2.iso and put them into ISO folder.

I found that Titanic AOT worked perfectly well on Virtual PC running in XP. That might depend on the speed of your computer. Virtual PC doesn't have any control over processor speed, but DOSBox does. Some old games don't run well on a "too fast" computer. Games that ran OK in Windows 95 or 98 in nVirtualPC on a Pentium 4 haven't run so well in VirtualPC on a faster processor. There are some other interesting emulators I haven't tried out yet, like PCem and 86box, which are supposed to support not only DOS but every version of Windows from 3.1 up to XP http://pcem-emulator.co.uk/https://emulation.miraheze.org/wiki/PCemhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/86Boxhttps://emulation.miraheze.org/wiki/86Boxhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pzzHN1GrAII don't know how difficult they are to use -- probably more difficult than DOSBox or Virtual PC at this point. But considering that they're game-oriented and are trying to support early 3D cards like Voodoo and Nvidia TNT, emulators like PCem and 86box may eventually be a better choice than VMware or VirtualPC for Windows 95/98 games, where finding "VMware additions" or "Virtual PC additions" for Windows 95/98 can be a pain.

Wonder if any of them work on Nautilus?
petert Good question . I remember getting Nautilus to run on XP . Don't really remember what I did . Guess I got lucky . I do , however , remember that with Titanic , I ran the game as a normal install , no emulation needed for me . I think that the only thing I might have done , is tweak Compatibility mode .
