In great contests each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God. Both may be, and one must be, wrong. God can not be for and against the same thing at the same time.

Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation.

Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, 'Kin ya swallar?'

The woman shakes her head no.

Then he asks, 'Kin ya breathe?'

The woman begins to turn blue and shakes her head no.

The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue.

The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth.

As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to his table.
His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I ain't niver seed nobody do it!'

A Husband and wife are shopping in their local Wal-Mart. The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart. 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife. 'They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans.' he replies. 'Put them back, we can't afford them.' demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping. A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket. 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the husband. 'It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful.' replies the wife. Her husband retorts: 'So do 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price. 'On the PA system: 'Cleanup needed on aisle 25, we have a husband down.'

Following the problems in the sub-prime lending market in America and the run on HBOS in the UK, uncertainty has now hit Japan.

In the last 7 hours Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches.

Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song, while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived.

Samurai Bank is soldiering on, following sharp cutbacks, Ninja Bank is reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black.

Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal.

A man is in bed with his wife when there is a rat-a-tat-tat on the door. He rolls over and looks at his clock, and it's half past three in the morning. "I'm not getting out of bed at this time," he thinks, and rolls over. Then, a louder knock follows.

"Aren't you going to answer that?" says his wife. So he drags himself out of bed and goes downstairs. He opens the door and there is a man standing at the door. It didn't take the homeowner long to realize the man was drunk.

"Hi there," slurs the stranger. "Can you give me a push??" "No, get lost. It's half past three. I was in bed," says the man and slams the door. He goes back up to bed and tells his wife what happened and she says, "Dave, that wasn't very nice of you. Remember that night we broke down in the pouring rain on the way to pick the kids up from the baby sitter and you had to knock on that man's house to get us started again? What would have happened if he'd told us to get lost??"

"But the guy was drunk," says the husband.

"It doesn't matter," says the wife. "He needs our help and it would be the right thing to help him." So the husband gets out of bed again, gets dressed and goes downstairs. He opens the door, and not being able to see the stranger anywhere he shouts, "Hey, do you still want a push??" And he hears a voice cry out, "Yeah, please."

So, still being unable to see the stranger he shouts, "Where are you?" And the stranger replies, "I'm over here, on your swing."

The Centers for Disease Control has issued a medical alert about a highly contagious, potentially dangerous virus that is transmitted orally, by hand, and even electronically.

This virus is called Weary Overload Recreational Killer (WORK). If you receive WORK from your boss, any of your colleagues, or anyone else via any means whatsoever - DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe out your private life completely. If you should come into contact with WORK you should immediately leave the premises.

Take two good friends to the nearest grocery store and purchase one or both of the antidotes - Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE) and Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter (BEER). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.

You should immediately forward this medical alert to five friends. If you do not have five friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.

Welcome to the weekend! hamster

I spent yet another day working on my old desktop computer. I made some headway. When I turned it off last night, it told me not to shut it down because it was installing 1 of 49 updates. I wanted all those Windows updates installed, so I let it do it's thing, and I went to bed. When I got up this morning it said, 'installing 1 of 49 updates'. lol

I started trying to update some more drivers, and then I went back to the updates, and now it was at number 23. Finally got them all downloaded and configured. bravo

Everything is still slower than watching my sister put on her make-up, and even more boring. rolleyes

I finally was able to get the right driver for my graphics card downloaded and installed, so then I started trying to load some games again. happydance

I've only been able to get 2 games to run on it, and they were not the games I'd hoped to play. One was Beyond Atlantis, and even that simple little game took a lot of work to get to play, but it sure looks great on that 22" monitor. woot

It looks like I'll have to do a lot of upgrading on that computer if I want to keep using it. That's gonna mean a sound card, new graphics, new CPU and motherboard. Everything!! shocked

Not so sure I want to do that. I may just sell it.

Have a happy day everyone.

joe

Joe,
I was surprised to find this computer at of all places OfficeMax.
As you probably know it is difficult to find a Cyberpower computer for under $1000 let alone under $500. I bought one and so far so good. If you read the reviews it seems it will play all but the most demanding games. Also has free shipping and Win-10 included.
--------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: The only problem is that the reviews are so good,it makes you a little leery whether they are real or not.

Good morning soot! Enjoy your weekend!

Venus, hope you can squeeze in some fun in your busy day!

Gerry, heaven only knows when I get my car back. lol They just finished taking out the entire inside, checking every bolt and wire and reassembling it. rotfl Now its a test dummy being driven around with a laptop literally hardwired to the computer of the car sitting on the passenger seat waiting for a "blip" on the screen. I may never see it again. lol It's been 3 full weeks now.
Have a great weekend!

Gail, enjoy your weekend!

Geo, looks like a great deal!

SpaceQ, missing you.... hearts

Interesting Gaming computer Geo. I wonder if the keyboard is a 'gaming' one or the soft touch? Can't find any info. I use a 'mechanical' old style touch one. Love pounding on the keys, clackity clack.

Neighbor across the street is having a yard sale. Started at 6ish. Woke me up with cars coming and going. Then there was the 'dog' incident. Seems hubby (the shunner) wanted his little long haired thing to run around the yard. Wife told him people don't like dogs at yard sales. Next thing you know...scheeeeech! Luckily, Lucky didn't get hit as he ran into the street. Thank goodness for an alert driver. Discussion ended, Lucky is in the house not in the yard sale. Whew!

Still no kitten sightings, but Mom Cat is guarding the century plant area near the back gate. I'm sure she has them in there. Cozy area. It's her go to place. Later, she will move them around everywhere. She has favorite spots. I'm staying clear to give her space and make her feel secure. This will be day 3 of new kittens. Wild animals are such fun. AND I think the mommy raccoon has taken the little ones back to the pack. This morning, the water dishes were not fouled. Hooray. If no more tonight then they are for sure gone somewhere to wherever they come from each season. Lots of empty land around here and ditches and wild areas where a raccoon family could happily live. I don't know what distances they could travel, but it might be a mile or more to the 'stream' near the gravel pit. It's a great habitat for wild things. I won't miss them messing up my deck, eating all the kitty/possum food or fouling up 4 water dishes. Time will tell.

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.
