I dl from amazon and it did not save the I was playing. I reloaded the game morning and try again to save. any thoughts on this.

Sometimes you have to run a game as Administrator in order to get it to save -- Right-click the desktop shortcut and click "Run As Administrator."

It's also possible an antivirus might block the saving, and you have to add the game exe to the antivirus's exclusion's list.
