The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was released in late 2014 and quite a few Gameboomers played it around that time. You can probably find some old threads with a search. Here is the thread where we announced gremlin's review.
http://www.gameboomers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/988831/1

Gremlin's review is here
http://www.gameboomers.com/reviews/Vv/VanishingEthanCarter/VanishingofEthanCarter.htm

The game uses a checkpoint system instead of a normal save system, and there was a patch to increase the number of checkpoints.

It's a very beautifully constructed environment. Very interesting technology used to make the environment very photo-realistic.

I liked it. smile

I loved this game too and keep hoping the developers will release another game.

It does have somewhat hefty hardware requirements as listed in Gremlin's review, so make sure your computer is up to the task.

I thought it was one of the best games I've ever played. But, as I said, make sure your computer is up to the task first.

I played quite a lot of the game but have yet to get back and finish it. Although I fully intend to yes
[Just really disliked the save system but apart from that thought it was excellent.]

Me, too, Mad. I never finished it, although it was beautifully rendered.
