Boy do I remember this part, I wish you luck with it. Here's the solution.
When you're on the disk, you can jump from tile to tile. Notice the symbols located on 4 of the 24 tiles. And watch the pendulum with the blade carefully. The blade will reach the left side of the room (as you were facing when you first entered the room) every time a tile with a symbol is underneath the slot for the blade on that side of the room. You may not notice it at first, but you get a special cursor when the blade is about to hit the wall. That cursor lets you grab the blade. Stand one tile behind the one with the symbol, and wait for the blade to get close. You can then grab the pendulum and jump onto it if your timing is right. If not, you'll die, but you can retry this puzzle until you get it right.
