I just started this game and after talking to Tracy (I am playing as a male) and typing the password on the computer, I go to the elevator door, I get the zoom icon to the black bin but in the bin close up.....nothing, no shoes, nothing!

Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks

Have you typed the correct entry words on the computer?
Have you picked up the pass under the bench?

Well, I never got the shoes! It does not seem to matter as I went along in the game and even made a date with Tracy over the phone after telling her the shoes had been shredded!

I didn't get the shoes until a later visit to the building - but I never seemed to need them.
I don't think they can actually be very important
