I am just starting Jazz and Faust. I can't figure out how to get the old man out in front of the bar a cigar and how to get up to the magician's room (maybe these are linked. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" />

Does anyone have a few helpful hints for me?

Hi Michele...........If you have the cup,2 bags of gold, and a bottle of wine and you went up and tried the magician's door....leave the tavern and open the gate at the right.
