The one review that is posted so far says there a are automatic save points and game overs if you make a wrong decision.

That is interesting information, oldbroad.

I am going to copy and paste the info here:

Quote:
There are also Conversation Choices at times to make, and the feature I loved the best, was that my decisions actually matter. By this I mean, if I choose the wrong decision, it's GAME OVER! Yep, you must make life or death decisions, so choose wisely! You may not even notice that as you progress, there will be save points, which are automatic, and if you make the wrong decision, you will start back at the last saved position before the incident, how cool is that!!

I have to say, it sounds more like a friend of the developer saying that Marian, because that sounds horrible to me. lol

I don't imagine that all players will consider this to be a good aspect of the game, but it's different from the casual-game norm.

People who don't like this must never have played old style adventure games, in which dying was part of the game. And for the most part they did not have automatic saves. The smart thing to do was save before taking any action.

I played plenty of them back in the day, Guybrush. It's all we had. Doesn't mean I liked that part then, and I still don't now.

What I dont like is the demo timed out just as I was opening the jewel box and when I got back in after buying the game it hadn't saved where I was. I had to start over.

Thank you for asking - I missed your post yesterday, probably because I wasn't feeling well! lol

I am happy to report that I am feeling a bit better this morning - not well, but a bit of an improvement. wave

I tried the Demo and somewhat enjoyed the game, although it is somewhat Old school, it is different and somewhat like a mini-adventure game, another game on the BOGO list.

And yes, the Map system does not tell you if there is something to do, and when using the Hint system will cost you a Hint point, if you find a Cross you will get one back, this is not too bad but if you use it in the HO screens you will also use a Hint point for every object you want to find.

As already mentioned before, you can die and brought back to a restore point, I died once during the demo so I don't know how often one can die.

Just finished this one. (Yes. I'm way behind in playing the games I've purchased.) I recommend the game if you're looking for a game to buy with a coupon code. Not that it's not very good. Just a bit rough around the edges. But a good story with challenging mini-games and not too many HOS. HOS are interactive and a bit challenging in themselves. Don't worry about Hints. There are plenty of opportunities to replenish them. Not likely that a regular player would run out.

Thanks so much for the comments, Sparkle. I picked this one up with a punch card coupon and haven't played it yet. I think I will enjoy it. smile
