Here is a hint about a clicking hard drive. It may be a sign of impending doom from a failing drive or virus, the things we always hear about, but I can now tell you from my experience the last 2 days that it can be caused by a failing power supply. My PS conked out and after replacing it the hard drive no longer clicks. I found out this is because it was not receiving enough power to fully get up to speed. I also found out there is a filter built into the case under the PS. I didn't know about this filter and mine was totally clogged. This probably aided in the PS failure.

Good to know, Geo. I have a power supply tester and have found a failing PS can cause all kinds of problems.

Once again, weeds are my life!
