Hi Marian,

I'm hating myself for bothering you but I am stuck and getting frustrated but afraid to look at the walkthrough and see too much.

I'm in Youkoul Village trying to do the Lemming puzzle. I have one cork and a full flask of water. I went back and forth for water about 30 times before figuring out to save the game at the puzzle and then just reload from there but still am starting to hate that Lemming even though he really is cute.

Is there any kind of hint or guidance you can give without giving me the solution? If not, no problem.

Thanks!

The walkthrough is calling this the fruit of the sacred door puzzle - and yes, it involves a lemming. smile

It's a multi-step puzzle so it will be a bit difficult to give a simple hint for it. If you would like me to give you the first step, please let me know.

The first step does involve what the walkthrough is calling a cork bung, which I assume is the cork that you already have.

Thanks Marian. I'll think on it/work on it.

Yes, the cork I have is a cork bung.

Well, I even went back to a prior save from a few days ago in order to not do something that I had done but that didn't help me. I played this game before but I don't remember having trouble with this puzzle. (Doesn't mean I didn't, just that I don't remember.)

I guess since it's late, I'll hold off asking for more help. Maybe this weekend I'll take it. mad

The more I keep trying stuff, the more I remember that I DID need help with this puzzle before but unfortunately, I don't remember what it was. So, what can you tell me?

I hope I don't make you go through the whole walkthrough with me. Do you want me just to look at it?

You can either look at the walkthrough, or I could give you the first step - what do you think? smile

Well, since I've managed to hold off looking at the walkthrough for this long, give me the first step. Sometimes when I start looking at the walkthrough, I never stop. I know I used it at the end of the game the first time I played. I hope I won't have to this time around.

Step One:

Click to reveal..
Use the cork bung at right bottom hole to just have the left bottom hole available to the lemming. Pull back.

Hit me with step two Marian because I'm still not getting it. It seems to me it is some timing or positioning thing with the Lemming (from what I remember)?? duh

Step Two:

Click to reveal..
Look close at harfang perch. Hang the prayer wheel on the horizontal bone. Based on Brother Andrei's book lemmings are favorite food of harfangs - so the lemming will be scared. Turn the prayer wheel to call the harfang. The harfang flies in and scares the lemming.

Ah! And this brings me to what I knew I should have done in the first place - asked if I had everything I needed and if this was the puzzle I should be working on right now.

I do not have a prayer wheel and have been all over numerous times not finding anything new.

I think I may be focusing on the wrong puzzle but (as stated) haven't found anything new so no other puzzle is working for me right now either. redface

Thank you for trying to help me out! wavegirl

I finally found the hot spot I was missing! joy2 I knew I needed a stone for the slingshot and I knew where a stone was but it would not let me pick it up. Once I found the hot spot, I automatically picked it up.

Whew, finally able to move forward a bit!

So, I'm trying to bring Hans back from near death and am in Valadilene. I know that Mr. Voralberg will go back to the factory at 7:15 but the clock is broke and is "stuck". All I have in inventory is the mammoth doll.

Am I missing a hot spot/item somewhere?

It doesn't look like you are missing an item. The clock is stuck, yes. It appears that you need to solve the clock puzzle by manipulating it in such a way that the time gets set to 7:15 and the bell chimes.

I can set the clock to 7:15 but nothing happens. I have set the clock at every quarter of every hour and nothing happens. lol

I feel I'm missing something to help "unstick" the clock?? Just setting the time does not do that.

help

Once you have set the time, you should take a look at the clock weight(s) and do something with that. Lastly, figure out how to get the bell to ring.

Sorry if I gave you the impression that once you had set the clock to the right time that you were done.
