I picked this one up in this weekend's sale, as a CE. It is turning out to be satisfyingly long, but quirky. You can spend a LOT of time looking for the Inventory you need to solve a puzzle and then the puzzle itself is a cakewalk. That is kind of funny. If you like the Collectibles thing, they make it very easy to find the items in each scene, even if you turn off ALL the help.
It isn't difficult to know what you need to do next or where you need to go. There are a few original mini-games that I've enjoyed. There are some novel Inventory items as well as some novel use of standard Inventory items (use of a cell phone to play parts of the game, for example). I think they had some fun putting this game together.
But it is a grim story line of jealousy, insanity and the murder of an entire family, and this becomes clear pretty early in the game. Yeah, it is "just a game," but it is getting me down a bit, since two young boys were murdered as well. So, maybe not a game for everyone?
