I am a huge Garfield fan and would love to play this on Windows 7 but when I tried to install it, it didin't work. It worked once before but I don't know on which system. Anyone have any ideas?

This is a really old one made for Windows 95. What operating system are you trying to install it on?

Have your tried using compatibility settings or "run as administrator" to install?

"Garfield: Caught in TV Land" seems to be an alternate title of "Garfield: Caught in the Act."
http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/garfield-caught-in-the-act

The back of the CD case says it's for Windows 3.1 or 95,
http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/garfield-caught-in-the-act/cover-art/gameCoverId,109354/
which means the game almost certainly uses 16-bit code (unless there are separate executables and installers for the Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 versions, which is unlikely). Games with 16-bit code can't be run on
64-bit Windows without some form of emulation separating the game from the 64-bit operating system.

You may have played it on XP.
Nearly all Windows 7 installations are 64-bit.

I'm surprised you were able to get it to play on Windows 7 at all (unless you have 32-bit Windows 7).
Or did it have separate installers for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95?

Anyway, what does it do at that point?
Crash?
Freeze?
Run too fast?
Or is it a Hints problem?
I found a walkthrough here

They also have cheats

I thought when you said you "got to that part where Odie was the vampire" that you'd been playing it on Windows 7.

It "might" be possible to get it working inside an emulator, where the version of Windows inside the emulator is 16-bit or 32-bit. But that's probably not something you'd want to set up just for one game.
