Hi, I saw a comment some little while ago about someone saying they had downloaded all their Big Fish Games to an external hard drive and I have some questions about this.

1. Can you download ALL of your games to an EHD? Assuming you have the space.
2. Do you play them from the EHD or have to install them to an internal drive?

How does this work and are there any disadvantages to this I should be aware of?

You can configure your Big Fish Game Manager to install in a location of your choice -- including to an external hard drive.

You can't play the games unless the external hard drive is attached to the computer.

If you try plugging the external hard drive into a computer other than the one on which the games were activated, the games will play as demos, timing out within 60 minutes or 90 minutes depending on the demo time for that game.

Keep in mind that your saved games probably won't be stored on the external drive.

I've only run into one casual game from Big Fish that didn't install where I told it to in the Big Fish Game Client -- and that was Deadtime Stories. That particular game created two installation folders -- one small 14.6 MB folder in the destination specified in the Big Fish Game Client, and a second, much larger game folder (a whopping 562 MB in size) in the computer's Application Data folder. I've played hundreds of Big Fish casual games and Deadtime Stories was the only one that did this.
