More on the StarForce story -
I went to the StarForce website, and found a utility that will diagnose problems.
Here's the message I got."Unfortunately, this application uses very old protection version 3.03.027.035 and will not run under Windows 10 x64.
You should contact your product customer support service and ask them to make a patch, which will either update protection system version or remove protection at all.
Unfortunately, StarForce company can't build such a patch since we neither have legal authority to produce any patches nor original application files required for that.
Please, accept our apologies for the inconveniences."
So again, although I paid good money for a game when it came out, if I want to replay if, I must buy it again. That really goes against the grain.
BTW, there is a Netflix show called Black Mirror.
CAUTION! If you are at all queasy, or sensitive to language or violence or all-out sex, don't watch it. It's really bizarre. It has been compared to Twilight Zone, but no. Not. Nothing like Twilight Zone. The only similarity is that each episode is a stand-alone story.
Anyway, enough blathering. I probably won't be re-playing Black Mirror. Those of you who do, enjoy. It's a really good adventure.
