I'm replaying this game now as well. Thorsgoats and I love to quote these lines - "I think I will go now." "I'll return to my work." Samuel and Bates say these lines so many times, they seem to take up half of the game.
Really fantastic game, of course. I haven't gotten to the slider puzzle yet, but as I know the trick to solving it, I've never needed a saved game for it.
I do, however, keep saved games for two of the very long waits after a couple of characters tell Samuel to come back later. I remember the second one taking about 40-45 minutes, with nothing to do in the meantime but run around to all the areas several times and re-read some of the family history just to pass the time.
I've just gotten to the part where (very mild spoilers for the entire trilogy)
Samuel visits Murray in the pawn shop. Murray is a very different character here than he is in Black Mirrors 2 and 3.
The original is still definitely my favorite, though I loved the sequels as well. I'm still avoiding the newest game, as I'm hoping a patch to fix the controls will be released at some point. If not, I'll power through it one of these days.
