I must be doing something wrong when I use the Advanced Search option to see if someone else has posted on a game previously. Sometimes, I do get a few hits when I do a Search, but most often, nothing shows up except the Moderator's original post that the game has been issued by BF. I even ask the Search engine to look as far back as a year.

Then I post my New Comment and hear back from someone else that that game has an earlier thread with some of those questions answered. What am I doing wrong when specifying what content to look for and where? Should I search back two years, or even three years? Do I ask it to search content as well as for a post's title?

It's nice when all the discussion falls into the same thread as the original post. It keeps it easy to see what's been said about a particular game.

Go to Search
click advanced
select casual forum
Use ONE word from the game title that is a minimum of 4 letters long and as unique as possible.
Select Subject ONly
Type marian or browneyedtigre in the display name search because one of us will have announced it and one would have commented in it.
Newer than ten years

Search.

Wow !! Thanks for that help, BrownEyedTigre.

I've never been very successful with "searching" at Gameboomers, either !! thumbsup

Agreed. Thanks for the Cheat Sheet! I've never searched further back than 2 years because I assumed any game older than that would have issues greater than anything I'd care to fuss over. ha ha

That has been really helpful. I'm glad the question was asked.
