It is owned by the same people as Wal Mart. You have to pay for a membership to shop there. You can get things in very large quantities if you want and sometimes at a good discount. They are also called membership only retail warehouses. We also have Costco here in the US and it works the same way.

Sam's Club's parking lot is always full so my guess is more than enough people know about it. They just closed a bunch by me though, but I still have one close enough. I use Sams and Costco, but prefer Costco anyday.

We shop at B.J.'s. Same concept as Sam's Club or Costco.. They also have a deli. And I do a lot of Christmas shopping there. Hubby just bought a TV at B.J.'s. He always compares prices and got the best price of anywhere at B.J.'s. We once also had a Sam's membership, but decided one was enough for just the two of us.
