This is one series I will buy without even trying out the preview game. I have played five in this series, and I was not disappointed in
The Princess Returns. Two of the games in this series are in my "Best" rating group and a third is right behind; I already have Replayed two of them. The series is excellent with two exceptions (
Borrowed Life was way too simple, easy and thus a bit boring.
Queen of Shadows wasn't bad, but the mini-games were badly designed and I play these games mainly for their puzzles not their eye candy or sound tracks.)
While not quite as good as
Legend of the Golem, which is longer and more challenging, with huge files and very creative,
Princess was a fun game to play
I have to add that the difficulty of the mini-games varied quite a bit, with some being dead easy while others were serious head scratchers, but I imagine it is difficult to design a consistent difficulty into puzzles, and it didn't keep
Princess from falling into my top category. As with all the other games in this series,
Princess has frequent pop-ups, if you bother to gather the many Collectible items. Sometimes I do collect them and other times I skip the whole process, so this is not important to me, but I know other people feel differently.
