Hi everybody!
I've now played all the myst games in the series so far and I want to know whats your favorite world?
For me it was Chanellwood Age- myst, Catherines Island- Riven and Tamana- Exile. What about you?
Later!

It's been a bit since I played it, but I would have to say the age in M3-Exile that had all the really unique puzzles using the ice ball generator. The "payoff" on that one was very cool thumbsup That, and I liked the brooding, storm-like feel of the place and the Asian influenced "architecture".

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here

Yes the final ride in "Amateria" in Exile was fun!

Used to answer to "Peter Smith", now answers to "Peter Rootham-Smith"

My favorites would be Amateria in MystIII: Exile, and also the jungle-type age in Exile, with the HUGE flower that you go inside, and the Squee that you chase around! Can't remember the NAME of that age, but it was phenomenal! I just loved roaming all around in all that tropical rainforest type scenery! It was so beautiful. It was like taking a vacation from my home.

PLAYING ON PC: World of Warcraft...nothing else...there is no need for ANY other game when you have THIS one to play!! LOL

I liked the jungle world in Myst Exile, but I also really enjoyed China and the Maya worlds in Beyond Atlantis.

So many are memorable that it's hard to choose, but I especially like the Rime Age in RealMyst, Atlantis in JP3: Legacy of Time, and the conservatory in Alida.

Channelwood and Edana, yes!!!! But I think I could live forever on the little Irish island in Atantis II (aka Beyond Atlantis) listening to that wonderful music

In Exile they didn't tell you if Saaverdro's family was still alive. I'm guessing they were. What about you?

I just assumed they were as well. After all, they did play the happy music as he flew off. wink
My favorite worlds are:

Exile - Amateria
Beyond Atlantis - Celtic
Myst - Channelwood
MJII - Transai

I haven't played URU yet, but it's second on my list.

Haha! That would be funny! A little cut scene after the end credits where you see Saavedro getting home and its all in ruins, and he gets on his knees and yells, "NO! NO!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"

Without a doubt Ireland in Beyond Atlantis some absolutly breathtaking scenes (who could forget that horse and the ride to the island!!!). I can't stand any of the Myst games or the numerous clones (ROTS,TOS, etc) so I can't answer this with any locale in them.

Happy Gaming,
Bill

Everything in Exile was my favorite...Somehow I assumed at the end that Saavedro's family was all gone, but he was going home anyway to live out the rest of his life there. Reminded me of the end of the old movie "On The Beach" where the sailors know that everyone in the northern hemisphere is dead, but they'd rather go home to die than stay in Australia and die there.
A cheery thought as I go off to bed at 1 AM...
