Hi smile

I've played bits of the original Fishdom (Match 3) on my iPad and really like it but it looks to me like actual cash might well have to be spent in order to beat more difficult levels.

Is that so ??

And if it is, would it also apply if playing the Big Fish version on a PC ??

Thanks.

I don't know about the iPad version, but I have several of the Fishdom games for PC and none of them have required actual cash or offer it as an option. smile

Sounds like you are playing the free version Mad, which like any Free-to-play can have in-game purchases should you choose to buy them. It is not necessary to buy anything, but doing so would quicken your game play. If you are patient, you can earn whatever you need to continue on.

Thanks very much, Marian and BrownEyedTigre smile

I might just go ahead with some Big Fish versions then - but will have to wait for a "sale" laugh

Cheers.

Well, no sooner said than done !! Bought a couple of "Fishdoms" in today's sale joy

EDIT :

Have played a bit of one and it seems less stressful than the iPad version - which is nice yes

Less stressful sounds good. I took a look at them but am going to try some others that Marian suggested next time I see a 65% off sale.

I do find the Fishdom games less stressful - good for when you just feel like relaxing.

A "shopping" question smile

I can buy and sell fish (from and back to the shop) but not the comfort or beauty items. I only seem able to buy those woozy

Is that right ??

Any advice is always appreciated, thanks yes

I don't remember, to be honest.

I found a review about the original Fishdom and it said this:

Quote:
Once you’ve earned some cash, it’s time to shop! Here’s where you can get creative and design your own personal aquariums, starting with your first tank in a “Pirate’s Treasure” theme. The fish tab lets you select from an assortment of aquatic creatures, including exotic fish and seahorses, while the beauty tab displays a list of decorative items like plants, seashells, and sculptures. The comfort tab has items to get your fish cosy, like water filters, heaters, and lights. There’s nearly 100 different items to choose from as you advance.

Not impressed by what you bought? Don’t worry, you can sell it again by dragging it to the recycle bin. You won’t get a full refund, but you will get a nice portion of your money back to spend on other items. You can also click and drag things around on the screen to rearrange them, though this has little impact on your progress.

This sounds to me like you ought to be able to sell anything you want.

Hi Marian - and thanks for responding smile

I just went back into the game but I can't see a "recycle" bin anywhere headscratch .

I also looked at YouTube videos of the original game but couldn't find one that showed where the recycle bin might be frown

So still stumped at the moment whistle

I just downloaded the game so as to refresh my memory.

On the screen where you are able to buy items/shop, there is a "move" button in the lower right-hand corner. I bought an item (don't remember if it was for beauty or comfort). After I put it in my aquarium, I clicked on the "move" button - then I could pick up items in the aquarium and drag them - when I did so, a small recycling bin popped up in the lower right-hand corner of the game screen and I could drag the item into that, if I wished, in order to sell it. smile

I've actually used that "move" button - but I thought it was only to allow full screen access so as to be able to move my items about the tank !! blush

Dear me. What a dumbo I am laugh

Thank you, Marian. I 'll go use it for its proper purpose now then dance

Hi.

I had to stop playing Fishdom 2 because when I moved on to earning my first "Gold" trophy, the "beauty" bar wouldn't register anything - even though I purchased loads of beauty items !! rolleyes

I just wondered (before I contact Big Fish) if anyone here at Gameboomers experienced this problem ??

EDIT :

Well .... I just installed Fishdom 3 and that won't even play !! shocked

So, will try the last Fishdom I have now - "Depths of Time" and see if IT works eek

EDIT 2 :

"Depths of Time" worked well for a while and then IT crashed thumbsdown

Definitely have to mosey along to Big Fish now sad

I don't recall having problems with these games, Mad; they all ran flawlessly. I am sorry you have run into trouble.

I'm quite sad because I really liked what I played of the Fishdom series sad

I did look at the "Community" section at Big Fish but there was nothing on the games there.

And the only help actually proffered by Big Fish was an auto screed of techie "trial and error" suggestions to have a go at.
[Not my cup of tea at all so the games will have to sit and stew for now.]

At least I have plenty of other Match 3's that I enjoy playing yes

EDIT :
Gone back to my play through of the "Cadenza" series hamster
