It sounds like something that needs to be spot cleaned with a damp rag and a little Dawn dishwashing liquid or clear SoftSoap. Thaty usually gets any stains out.

If it was dirty when you bought it and you didn't notice until you got home maybe they will exchange it for a clean one or refund your money.
