i recently started playing post mortem, and it's all right, except that it's first person again. i really don't like first person games, how come no one makes games like runaway and syberia and tlj anymore? and why doesn't the game say: first person point and click? am i supposed to buy it an then find out, like i did with jack the ripper, crystal key and post mortem, or is there something i'm missing? please guys, help me out, are there any more 3rd person point and click advernture games out there, or will i have to settle for second best and risk losing it completely?

Luca, the Broken Sword series is 3rd person view. Also there are a lot of good action/adventure games that are 3rd person also.
I Baag, Therefore I Am. Update: I Don't Baag Anymore, Therefore I Ain't! Update: I'm baaging again but just a little. JohnBoy ----------------

Actually there are more 3rd person games being published now than there were 3 or 4 years ago. Before TLJ came out, they seemed to be almost totally abandoned for a while. After TLJ we've had Jazz and Faust, Mystery of the Druids, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Black Mirror, and Syberia 1 and 2. There were many 3rd person point-and-click DOS games, but early Windows games were mostly first person. Nightlong was Windows and 3rd person point-and-click. And there's Broken Sword 1 and 2. Grim Fandango and Escape from Monkey Island were 3rd person (though keyboard controlled).
If you like cartoon games, there is Curse of Monkey Island, Gilbert Goodmate, and Tony Tough. The Windows version of Jack Orlando has very nice animated graphics (as did the DOS original).
If you are able to play DOS games and don't mind "dated" graphics, there are a number of good 3rd person games you could try. For example, Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island 1 and 2, Beneath a Steel Sky, The Dig, Gabriel Knight 1, Toonstruck, Noctropolis, Shadow of the Comet, and Prisoner of Ice. Some of these DOS games will work in Windows XP using VDMSound or ScummVM, if you don't mind tinkering a bit. ScummVM is said to be easier to use.
There are a few upcoming games that will be 3rd person that you can look forward to, including Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silver Earring. Niburu may also be 3rd person, since it uses the same game engine as Black Mirror.

I'm currently palying Midnight Nowhere which is 3rd person. You might also want to try the Law and Order and CSI games which are also 3rd person point and click.

Hi Gang....... I definitely agree with Tigger here, lucca. Checking out a review or three before buying any game is a darn good idea. That is, to find out if the game is 1st or 3rd person and a lot else, before you spend your hard earned dollars! Personally, I like both types and am lately more inclined to enjoy some action as opposed to all "puzzles." Witchen
