Hi Boomers,
I have been playing ""Miazma" following the various video walkthroughs, as well as the Steam Community Guide, and I'm at the part in which Vera's brother has returned. After a "quiz", The brother leaves again, and the game continues with Vera and William in her office. That's where I'm stuck. ALL of the walkthroughs end at this point, so I have been randomly accessing everywhere possible for clues, but to no avail. I would appreciate some help from any of you who have succeeded in passing this point in the game.
Sandy

I beta tested this game and I do remember being stuck at this point too. Unfortunately, I don't remember what I did to move on. I'm thinking it was talking to the guy in the plasma lab, but I'm not sure. Let me see if I have anything in my notes.

I don't know where you are in the game. The only walkthrough I know of is the one on the Private Moon website which is more of a Hints and "how to solve individual puzzles" than a sequential step-by-step walkthrough
http://miazmagame.privatemoon.com/miazma---walkthrough.html

One thing you need to do in this game is go back to previously visited locations and talk to people to make sure no new subjects have appeared in the conversations. Make sure you have no unfinished business anywhere that's preventing the game from progressing. Also if you've found any puzzles you can do, do them -- or look up how to do them at the walkthrough link above. Then revisit locations for new topics of conversation.

I didn't have anything in my notes, but this walkthrough posted at STEAM is really quite good with text and screenshots. See if you can find where you are and go from there. I assume this is before the part where Balazs has to escape the cellar? My memory is fuzzy on the game.

Thanks, my fellow Boomers, but after that scene, NONE of the walkthroughs or guides continue, only explaining how to solve various "puzzles. I WILL return to the Plasma Lab to give it another shot. Maybe I just missed something there.
Another puzzle maybe?. If that doesn't work, then I'm REALLY stuck.
Sandy

On the Private Moon website WT, I can't seem to be able to scroll down. Very odd!

Sanford, has the director called?

On the Private Moon website you can scroll by clicking MORE.
(The walkthrough on Steam is a bit more detailed.)

Now that Pilaus says you need to get a call from the director, I do remember that. If you have missed anything in the labs, you may not get the call. I hate to tell you to go back to the labs, but make sure you check out everything in them. Make sure you check out the book in the plasma lab.

Drac, I can't find the word "MORE" on the Private Moon webpage, but I'm going back to all of the labs. Have NOT gotten the call from the director, but let's see if I do once I have been to the labs

Sandy, the call from the director should come at the end of the quiz, before Balázs leaves. And Jonathan tells them what he said. It is easy to miss this part if you skip the last answers in the quiz. (Check the notebook if it is logged there). Try to visit the director's office.

Sanford, I see "more" on the walkthrough pages... Click on Atomki labs and then look for it on the left midway down. It really didn't give me any more help though.

The walkthrough on Steam has been updated with this part! Hope it helps.
(It is not on the Miazma website yet).

I see the updated Steam WT now, so it looks like I can start to move forward again. Thanks Pilaus and Drclvr.
Sandy

I DID visit the director's office and I picked up a lot of "stuff" from the box in front of the machine, so I guess I'm on the right track again.

Have fun, Sanford. This game can be tricky, but it's worth the effort! So, what had you missed?

I guess that I forgot that the director HAD shown up after the "quiz", after all, Drac, a symptom of my age?
LOL Thanks for helping me move along, and YES, it IS worth it. I'm re-printing the revised WT right now.

Believe me, at MY advanced age, I know what you're talking about!! My problem is I can't leave a game for very long because when I go back, I have no idea what I've done!

About the machine with the six coded locks (in the director's office), I have solved all but codes 3 and 4 and as many times that I look at the revised WT, it's not registering with me as how to put in the 3 correct number codes for 3 and 4 Really confusing! HELP!!!! I need a spoiler. still can't figure out the Private Moon WT page to get ALL of the text.

Use the links at the left side of the page under "The riddle of the six locks."
http://miazmagame.privatemoon.com/the-riddle-of-six-clocks.html

These are multi-step puzzles, using clues from more than one source. It's possible that you can't just "input the numbers" until you've solved all the puzzles that you'd need to get the numbers. So look for any puzzles that haven't been done yet.

I've been spending hours going to every lab over and over, picking up bits of pieces and solving puzzles (cheating on some of them), but I still don't have the answers to locks 3 and 4. I'll just keep trudging along I guess.

Hi everybody,
I found the answers to the rest of the Lock Box puzzles thanks to the "spoilers" within the Steam walkthrough, and I finally finished this game. I had almost given up, but I was SO stubborn, that I wouldn't give up. Thanks to all of you for your help. I couldn't have done this without YOU, my Fellow Boomers.
