At the moment I am only releasing it on Steam, but I would like to release it on more places soon.

Please consider http://fireflowergames.com/
if GOG doesn't accept the game.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. I heard that itch.io is also a good option.

I don't do Steam. I will be waiting for a non-Steam DRM-free version.

DRM-free version

There is no DRM included with Yeli Orog, it can be downloaded and played without the Steam client. However I do hope to have an additional place to sell it setup soon.

YeliOrog, congratulations on the release!
But is it true that 'Windows 10' is actually a requirement, as listed on Steam page?
Won't it run on Windows 7? That's a sad thing actually.

I was under the impression that all Steam games could only be downloaded using the Steam client. Am I wrong in this? Is there another way?

I put windows 10 because I haven't had the opportunity to test it properly on a computer running Windows 7. I tried it on a very old laptop running Windows 7 and it worked, but it was a bit less responsive then with the other computers I tried. I'm not sure if it was because of Windows 7 or the laptop itself.

The games are all downloaded through Steam, yes, but not all games require Steam to actually run the game. In the case of Yeli Orog, you can go to the Steam folder containing the game files and load the game from there. Or you can move the game files to wherever you want.

Hi YeliOrog,

I read on a Steam review that you cannot save your game and that you need to play the game in one sitting. Just curious if this is true.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,
Yes, that is true. The game is meant to be played in a single sitting.

Yeli, is there any way for you to patch the game and create a save feature? I for one, can't tell you the last time I had a real chunk of time to play a game and I'm thrilled to get a half hour without interruptions. I know a lot of others who are in the same predicament as me.
