If you could choose one or two movies you'd like to see remakes of, what would they be? My choices are:

The Russians are Coming, the Russians are Coming and

Darby O'Gill and the Little People.

None. I don't believe in remakes. What they should do is rerelease the original.

I tend to agree with GuybrushThreepwood on the whole. 3dobermans, because I haven't watched a re-make yet that was as good as the original woozy

But that doesn't mean there won't ever be a successful one, of course grin

I have the vhs of Darby, but have trouble understanding nost of the Irish accent

I know Alan Arkin would be hard to replace since he's excellent in the russians.

Just curious what they would be like.

Personally, I'd say Darby O'Gill and the Little People could be a great remake, dependent on how it's approached. I don't have an issue with remakes, if they change up the perspective a bit. Maleficent (in my opinion) was a wonderful example of what a production company can do with a different vision and the right casting.

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here

A lot of movies that came out with basically the same story line, eg. movies about the Titanic. The best one in my opinion is "A Night to Remember". Did some checking and learned according to survivors it came closes to what actually happened.

But the same story - told in a different way - in a different film - isn't a "re-make" as I understand the term help

Sorry Mad, didn't mean to imply that it was a remake.
