Use all of the letters contained in the 5 words below to form 5 different 5-letter words - each letter will be used once. The new words all belong to the same category. A general hint to each category is provided.

-1. Going native: axiom, sugar, haiku, wahoo, noose
-2. It's all Greek (names) to me: caddy, abase, choir, miner, joins
-3. Closet-dwellers: humor, gable, troop, holly, leggy
-4. Sweet rides: cacao, power, nudge, coast, chunk
-5. Staying afloat: creek, fiery, banal, agony, raker

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

I think 2 may need a team effort: I am finding it hard to come up with many five letter Greek names, but I am pretty sure one has to be Jason as J is not a letter commonly used in Greek, and Minos could be another. blackkitty

Homer sounds better than Minos (and we cannot have both), Cindy might also be a contender being of Greek derivation crazy

I love group solves! In that spirit, I'll tell you that none of those names work. The correct names begin with C, H, J, M, and N. smile

Are we talking names of people or names of for example cities etc....?

Am I allowed such a question?

I started out with Circe, Hydra, Midas and Jason, but that left the letters NIEBO, which I couldn't put together to make a name.

Sue lied and you all did a great job! Circe, Hydra, Jason, Midas and Niobe are the winners.
