Crazy conversions. For example : time it takes to sail 220 yards at 1 nautical mile per hour = knot-furlong (not for long) The symbol ^ is used for powers, so 10^4 is 10 to the power 4, and 10^-5 is ten to the power -5. Some are quite tough and cringe-worthy so be warned -1. ratio of an igloo's circumference to its diameter = -2. 2.4 statute miles of intravenous surgical tubing at Yale University Hospital = -3. 2240 pounds of Chinese soup = -4. speed of a tortoise breaking the sound barrier = -5. 8 catfish = (think Latin for 8)-6. Weight of a well-known evangelist = -7. 365.25 days of drinking low-calorie beer = -8. 16.5 feet in the Twilight Zone = -9. 10^12 bulls = -10. basic unit of laryngitis = -11. 10^9 antics = (think very large)-12. 0.5 lavatory = (think large glass jar, often wicker-covered)-13. 10^-2 mental journeys = (what is the prefix for 10 to the power -2, also think song title)-14. 10^-18 enthusiastic boys = (what is the prefix for 10 to the power -18,) also think cry of encouragement)
To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self. I wonder what's on television...?

12. half bath I love these, Rog!
The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.

I'll take a stab at a different one: 9. 10^12 bulls = terahertz (herds)
