Starting with the word "DISH" replace one letter at a time with a letter from the available letter pool to make a new word. Once a letter is used it can't be used again. Make the longest string of words that you can. Don't post your list of words here. Just post your count and send me your list in a PM. I'll verify the lists and post the standings. I'll take entries until high noon on Thursday. Example: soot - sort - port - pore - core - .... LETTER POOL:
A B C E F G J K L M N O P Q R T U V W X Y Z
LEADER BOARD: 20 - Rog 17 - Soot

19 (including "dish") (Used dictionary.com to check words, so feel free to disqualify this entry...) Great puzzle, Cue - I have wasted many hours of the increasing short time left to me on this Earth trying to beat soot

You've succeeded! A worthy list of 19! I didn't recognize one word but being a Brit, you would. It's never a waste of time to take the old gray matter out for a jog. It keeps us young at mind. A longer list is STILL possible!

Yeah, Remi. There's a lot of ways to go on this. It's finding the right combination to make the string longer.

Think I've got 20 without Brit-words, but I won't swear to it. (I'll swear at it...)

You can give yourself a break and I'm sure Soot will be happy to have one too. Well, it's after noon now so you get the cigar, Rog. That's a nice list of 20! Congratulations! I see two words from my list. It's pretty mind-boggling how many different ways you can go 1. dish 2. dash 3. gash 4. lash 5. mash 6. wash 7. cash 8. cask 9. case 10. vase 11. vast 12. fast 13. past 14. part 15. pant 16. punt 17. puny 18. pony 19. bony 20. boxy
