I'm stuck in Wall Street. I can't figure out the code to get to the roof of the Grant City Trust building. Tried everything I can think of short of starting with 0000 and working my way up to 9999. I actually did go up to 0100.

I haven't gotten this far into the game yet, but other people had trouble with this too.

If you picked up the book on taxes and grabbed the note from under the book, you will something written on the note. What is written on that note is important.

It's a a bit obscure, but what is on that note is a clue.

The four numbers are not going to be in the same order for every player, as they are randomized each game.

Okay Marian. I have picked up the book and the note. I've studied the note and tried different numbers based on it, but I will try some more and see if I can get it. At least I know to focus on that then.

Well, another 1/2 hour of studying produced no results at all. Do you know the answer? Since you are still playing the game and haven't gotten to that point yet, I don't want to spoil it for you. Is there a walkthrough somewhere?

I looked as quickly as possible to see a little as possible at the walkthrough, went into the game, didn't work. Went back to walkthrough to take a thorough look. STUPID PUZZLE!!! Stupid answer anyway! My opinion!!!!!!!! I don't even feel bad for looking like I normally do.

Yes, I don't feel bad about not figuring something out in a game when the puzzle seems stupid to me.

I also find that with some games I just don't have the key to the designer's mind whereas in other games we tend to be on the same wavelength. The latter always makes the game a bit easier.

I guess the real problem is that I'm having trouble warming up to the game. It's just not grabbing me and pulling me in which is disappointing to me because I was really looking forward to it.

Still, the solution to the puzzle was kind of off. I'm usually tolerant about these things because "it's just a game" but... And, I'm almost sure I just ran into this same puzzle (with a more normal solution) recently, though I can't quite place it.

Have you played the Blackwell games? You might like those better.

Oh yes. I really enjoyed the Blackwell games. They're lurking in the background of my mind for a replay.

It's very strange that some people have trouble with this lock puzzle.
The puzzle seems very simple to me - and literally no one of the testers was stuck with it. And there were quite many testers there
