My Alienware is Win 7 and still going strong, but I have an issue getting Bluetooth headphones to work wirelessly on it.

(I can't use wired 'phones because my cat feels it's her mission in life to search and destroy all wires related to sound, be it headphones, telephone chargers, etc. lol This is most certainly because when her monkeys are using headphones or cell phones, they are NOT paying attention to her.)

The devices can find each other and pair, but no sound plays from the computer. Apparently this is not an uncommon issue as a file is missing on Win 7; the file is A2DP Profile. I don't know what this file is, but I'm guessing it might be a driver (?).

Anyway, long story short, without this file I can't use my new 'phones. Can't find the file on line, and even if I could, I have no idea what to with it.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Thanks for the link. The headphones are Broadcom. I searched their downloads but found nothing related to the A2DP issue.

I think I'll just return the headphones, but given that I'm likely to use Win 7 for gaming for the foreseeable future, I'll have to use wired headphones and just put them away every night.

Although....the little fleabag will sit in my lap and purr while I'm on my computer, and the next thing I know the wires have been chewed hardwall

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
