You can find it here.

I think this game will eventually make its way to Big Fish, so I am going to wait. I did want to let others know, though, that at long last the game is out, just in case you wanted to pick it up now. ghost2 Jackpumpkin

Thanks Marian! I held off for ages on buying the first game since I read it didn't have a proper ending. Eventually Steam had it so cheap I couldn't resist. Of course, I have not played it yet anyway.

If anyone gets the game from Steam and plays it, I will be interested to hear what they think. Hard to believe that the first game came out on Big Fish in 2014. It's been a long wait. Frankie

I never heard of this game. I found both on Steam and couldn't resist buying them. Just started the first one and think I'm going to love them. Thanks Marian. joy wavegirl

The first game was really loved by our forum members here, TLC - I think you will enjoy it. happydance

And by the way, just to let people know, the first game is also available on Big Fish here. Jackpumpkin

I also read elsewhere that the developer hopes to ultimately make this series a trilogy. blackkitty

I also read on their Facebook page that they were going to be doing updates to the game I think I will wait for a while and let them get the game updated before buying

I guess I'm almost a quarter of the way through. Judging from the directions, the game also can be played with a controller.

I'm so thoroughly hooked that I only stopped because I became thoroughly stumped and bamboozled yet I refuse to look at the guide* because thus far True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part Two is worth savoring and keeps me from reading the news while biting my fingernails.

The graphics surpass those in the first game by several powers, and the adventuring is more complex. The set-up is reminiscent of the opening of an MCF I liked in that a team of paranormal investigators preceded our heroine's mysterious appearance. The setting is an ostensibly long abandoned Art Deco asylum. Medical grunge is not slowing me down. That is saying something; in general I favor beauty over poking through detritus in and around a derelict institution, never mind that architecturally the buildings have good bones. Plenty of real bones here, heh, heh, heh.

*Come to think of it, I'm not sure there is a guide yet. I'll check.

That sounds great, 8dognight. I also read that, unlike the first game, the sequel has no hidden object scenes.

Sounds real good. I'd like to know if it has some type of proper ending (so that IF the 3rd part is never released...). I prefer to be forewarned!

That I don't know yet, Oldbroad.

The first game had an excellent Twilight Zone twist ending that stood on its own narrative legs and simultaneously teased a sequel.

Oh, so the first one did have some type of ending? I thought it just left you hanging somehow.

If Goblinz had not teazed--spelled with a "z" in honor of the company name--with a phrase on the order of "to be continued" at the conclusion of Part One, it would have stood on its twisted, curlicued, and spiraling own much as Shadow Shelter from Nevosoft does.

Do not ignore the journal which contains the case file, clues, or journey notes. All are helpful and interesting.

You are welcome. smile

I would like to say that looking over the Steam forum for the game, there appear to be some bugs that players may or may not encounter. Just a heads up for those who would prefer to wait a while for the patch that will almost certainly be released.

Marian, I just looked at Goblinz's Facebook page this morning. Facebook is not something I use; I got off in late 2016. Anyway, I avoided signing up, read the Goblinz page, and learned they made a HOG for BFG in 2012 called Mystery Valley, which is not related to True Fear: Forsaken Souls but was quite successful. The Goblinz website has a link to BFG to try the game for PC so I'm downloading. HOGs aren't my thing but every now and then one grabs me so I'm giving it a whirl.

There's actually a reference to Mystery Valley in the original True Fear: Forsaken Souls. You see a book in the kitchen called Mystery Valley and a comment is made about it. smile
