Anyone playing?

I'm having a BLAST!
Can't actually believe myself, I'm playing this kind of game.

To just think when I first joined this forum, I was a pure adventure gamer.
But because of you all here, I started playing WOW and liked it.
Have since played a lot of other MMO's razz
I then moved onto Tomb Raider gamers and found I could actually do it!

This is why I got this game.... and oh boy... there's a lot of gameplay in this one.
The fighting is not that hard - well not on Easy anyway, lol
Also no min/maxing gear... no need to equip Legendary gear until you're at max level. Too darn expensive to upgrade anyway.
Go with Epic or Rare instead while leveling up. Also don't be afraid to shift out weapon/armor, when you come across better stats.

There are 1 main storyline and 2 sub storylines and a TON of sub missions, that gives good gear.
Then there are Contracts and Bounty missions, that will earn you money to buy stuff from a special shopkeeper.

Not to forget Sea battles!
Of course you don't HAVE to engage in them, although there's a couple main missions, you have to defeat 3 ships, but it's not that hard, if you save up to upgrade your ship. It's actually kind of fun.
Go for a hit and run approach (Ram the sucker high speed) coupled with a few rains of arrows - then get out of the way by raising sails, rinse and repeat.

I chose Assassin as main stat, then Hunter with a splash of warrior for the out in open fights, you sometimes can't avoid.

Some say there's no replay value in this game - but they are wrong.
If you played the female protagonist, you can change to male.
You can choose other options, that change the story along the way.
You can play around with combinations of Assassin/Warrior/Hunter stats.

Anyway - that is my oppinion of the game.
Yours?

Awesome Misslilo, glad to see you are enjoying yourself! thumbsup

Yep, Darkside games have a tendency to pull you in once you get used to the idea of dying occasionally, or repeatedly in my case lol

I haven't attempted Odyssey yet, but it's on my list. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two games, such a great premise; the Animus. Using a theory in psychology (Jung's Anima and Animus) as an influence was a great idea. I also enjoyed the historical references, great games once you get used to jumping and flying and falling, and falling and falling lol

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here

I've got Assassin's Creed 1-3 and Brotherhood in my library, but so far have only played the first two. I found the controls somewhat difficult to get used to in the first one. Admittedly, there were frustrating sequences that I thought I wouldn't get through, but once I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed the games.

I'm 125 hours into the game and there's still a TON of quests to do!
Also only maybe 1/3 of main story done.
There's just SO MUCH to do and explore! I mean, it's HUGE!

And later this month(nov. 13) / early december, they are adding even more free content and new features:

1: Raising level cap from 50 to 70 (if you're already at 50 and have kept playing, the XP earned will accumulate, so you get ability points right when it's released)
2: Adding Visual Customization (add visual pleasing gear on top of your stat gear)
3: A new free sub mission
4: Cyclop the mythical creature.

The controls are better than those in Origins, so I can only imagine it is also better than the previous AC games.
I'm playing on keyboard/mouse and it's pretty fluent. And from what I hear/read those with controllers finds it easy too.
Also you can now Save Manually and Quick save, which you couldn't in Origins.

If you get the Season Pass, you'll get the DLC's of course, BUT you'll also get the REMASTERED AC 3(out in 2019 sometime)

You should definitely get the game on STEAM, but it will play through Ubisofts UPlay system.
You COULD get it from Ubisoft store directly, but then you won't be able to track progress/achievements on Steam.
I think it was just on SALE for Xbox and PS4.

You're making this sound pretty darned good. I'll put it on my wish list over on Steam.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Well, I didn't plan to, but I'm just so excited about this game, lol.
Also, if you didn't know - Origins(2017) and Odyssey(2018) were in the making at the same time by two different Ubisoft teams.
Odyssey just took a lot longer to make and it definitely shows.
