Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody Gibran

So, are you downloading or trying to install the game? If you have disks, I'm going to assume you are trying to install. This is probably a dumb question, but are you sure you are putting disk 1 in first???

data3.cab is a file on CD2. It sounds like your computer is not detecting the CD change when you swap from CD1 to CD2. The first thing to do is make sure that CD2 is readable and that you can see the data3.cab on CD2 when using Windows Explorer. The CD is probably fine, but it's best to check anyway. If you're able to access Windows Explorer during the game installation, after changing to Disc 2, check to be sure that Windows Explorer sees that data3.cab is on Disc 2. If it only displays the contents of Disc 1, you know Windows has not detected the disc swap and thinks you still have Disc 1 in the drive. Failing to detect CD swaps is a problem I've seen in every version of Windows since Vista. I don't know if it happens on all computers, but the same computer will detect disc swaps properly when booted to XP and not when booted to Vista or later. Failing to detect disc swaps is a variant of a more general issue with Windows Explorer discussed ***here***, which mentions Vista specifically, but contrary to what is claimed by the title, there is no fix -- at least not for problems with disc swaps. The same problem in Windows 7 is discussed on technet ***here*** and ***here*** and ***here*** where Windows Explorer fails to refresh. Lots of people suggest solutions, but when other people try them they don't work. Most people don't use CD or DVD drives for games anymore -- they use downloads from Steam, GOG, Big Fish, etc. So Microsoft got out of fixing their problem by waiting until most people didn't care any more. Some people never got the problem, but most never used software with installations on multiple discs. The short answer is to try pressing the F5 key after the CD swap, and if that doesn't force Windows to redetect the CD, open Windows Explorer and press F5, and see if the installation will continue.
